Hi from Outdoor Retailer! It’s a whirlwind of gear here at the Salt Palace convention center, and we’re working hard to find out the latest and greatest in gear and industry trends. Some of the highlights:

Toko has a new system for its hard wax. No more peeling paper and then getting your wax all dirty. The new, Chapstick-style applicator is much more practical.

Swix has a new rub-on wax for climbing skins. It helps prevent icing up and assists a smooth glide. We got some to test, we’ll let you know how it works.

Timberland has these camp booties, the Radler Insulated. The lightweight booties zip to each other and then clip to your pack.
