Donate to the Green Mountain Club
From our friends at the Green Mountain Club:
During Fiscal Year 2012, a total of 1,024 volunteers reported that they served 23,012 hours on Green Mountain Club-related projects and activities. As a volunteer-powered organization, the GMC relies on these generous individuals to maintain trails, steward Vermont’s fragile alpine areas, mail letters in bulk, write articles and grants, brainstorm big ideas, recruit members, pack heavy loads into hard-to-reach places, manage the fourteen local sections, and much more.
Although their labor is a selfless donation, coordinating a successful crew requires two full-time field staff, a full set of tools, one or two large vehicles, a bounty of food, and camping supplies all summer long.
The club relies on partner organizations, grant funding, and people like you to keep programs like this running smoothly. This year end, consider making a donation to support the GMC’s volunteers and the work they do!
