Maple Street Bike Park Project is Moving Along!

This past Saturday marked another step forward in the Maple Street Bike Park project that is happening in Essex Junction. I was there to lend a hand and do some cutting for the crew on a crisp sunny day. The area is really shaping up now, and it’s personally been amazing to see the difference between the first time I volunteered a few weeks back and this weekend.

The area is now prepped and awaiting bids from builders to begin formal construction of the proposed pump tracks and dirt jump areas. These of course will have to be all approved by the powers that be, but with crossed fingers, this park should be up and running by 2012.

Vermont is a great place to be as a mountain biker and it’s so inspiring to see the constant work and dedication of individuals and communities making it all happen! Want to help and/or stay in the loop with the happenings at the park? Go here to see the website here and maybe hit them up on Facebook too and help spread the good word.
