New Haven Ledges Race
Bristol, VT
This is an annual Class 4 whitewater creek race, founded in 2009. It consists of two timed heats run along a section of the New Haven River, starting upstream of Bartlett Falls (aka "Toaster") and finishing in the pool below the Falls. It can include up to 60 racers, all of whom are highly skilled whitewater kayakers.
The race has been on hiatus since 2020 (initially due to COVID) and is resuming in 2023! The planned date is Saturday, April 8, with a backup ("rain") date of April 15.
