Snowboarding’s In! Ski Museum Changes its Name

The Vermont Ski Museum has formally changed its name to the Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum, the Stowe-based organization announced today.

“The museum’s board of directors has long recognized the need to formally acknowledge snowboarding’s Vermont heritage and we’re pleased to announce our decision to change our name to include snowboarding,” said Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum board chair Tom Sequist in a release. “The roots of skiing and snowboarding run very deep in Vermont and we’re committed to collecting and preserving their Vermont history and continuing to be a resource for those seeking information about skiing and snowboarding in Vermont.”

The museum has a new logo that incorporates snowboarding as well.
