Winter Rears its Head a Bit for the Mocean Project Crew

Winter has been tough this season for snow lovers in most places especially in the mountains of the Northeast. There are plenty of gems usually to be found here despite the rap as the Ice Coast. Most of that rap is when people think of snow, they only think its at ski areas. That is overlooking the dedication of many to get out beyond the zoos of the ski areas and their legions of out of state tourists and get out into the mountains far from the bustle. Or often just far enough …

We’ve been poking around as of late and the snowpack is starting to settle in around knee-thigh deep (I’m 6′ 2″) so it’s happening, albeit slowly. We set up yesterday and Meg got a couple shots of me sending some powder in her general vicinity. Megan is getting to be quite the little photog! Stay tuned for more from The Mocean Project!

All shots by Megan Walsh.
