Jerrod Rushton Stepping Down as Vt. Sun Race Director
Vermont Sports has been a sponsor of the Vermont Sun Triathlon Series. We’re sorry to hear Jerrod Rushton is stepping down as the race director, and want to thank him for all he has contributed to the triathlon scene in Vermont.

Dear Athletes, Friends and Sponsors,
It is with mixed emotion that I write today to inform you that I am officially stepping down as Race Director of the Vermont Sun Triathlon Series, a position which I have held for the past 14 seasons. After countless hours of consideration and discussions with my family it feels like the right time to pursue other interests and business opportunities. With that said, I do intend to remain active in the endurance events community. Rushton Sports will remain alive and well as I will continue to provide event management consulting services and support to various organizations as we move forward. It has been an amazing run over the past 14 seasons and I can’t thank all of you enough for the support and dedication you have shown during this time.
As for the series, Vermont Sun Fitness Center and it’s management team will be assuming full ownership and management of the triathlon series effective immediately. Vermont Sun has been involved with the series since founding it in 1991 and have always been committed to producing high quality events. The 2012 series will no doubt operate with the same passion, professionalism and dedication to the sport that you have come to expect. The new web address for the triathlon series will be www.vermontsuntriathlonseries.com.
