Middlebury Maple Run
USATF-certified half marathon and 2-person relay, and a 3-mile fun run. Beautiful, scenic routes with views of the Green Mountains and Adirondacks. 50/50 mix of paved and dirt roads for the half marathon, all paved for 3-mile fun run. Well organized, great t-shirts, live music on course from Middlebury College student bands, post-race pancake breakfast with Vermont maple syrup. New for 2019—prize money and age group awards for the fun run. One of New England’s “must do” races.

Tuesday Night Trail Running Series

Join us for the largest weekly trail running series in the country! This fun event is for all ages and abilities with a 5 km race, and the continuation of the 10 km option on the second Tuesday of each month, a 2.5 km “Cadets” race, and a short little “Cubs” race held every week starting May 21 through September– view calendar or subscribe to shared Google calendar. We rotate between 3 different courses each week and give out prizes based on attendance at the end of the season awards pot luck.

Vermont Sun Triathlon and Lake Dunmore Triathlon @ Branbury State Park
The Vermont Sun Triathlon is a 600 yard swim, 14 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run.
The Lake Dunmore Triathlon is a .9 mile swim, 28 mile bike, and 6.2 mile run.
Vermont Sun Fitness Center has held these award winning Triathlons on Lake Dunmore for 34 years.
The beautiful rural setting and safety of the central vermont courses are spectacular.

Join us on August 18th for the inaugural running of the Woodchuck Cider Chase 5k in idyllic Middlebury, Vermont. Nestled in the cool Champlain Valley, dash from barn to farmhouse and back on Exchange Street. 5k, chip timed race starts and ends out front of the world famous Cider House. After the race, the party continues with live music, food trucks, yard games and family friendly fun for everyone.

Howard Center’s 11th Annual Zoe’s Race – August 25

Fill up your water bottles, lace up your sneakers and join the fun at this year’s 11 th
Annual Zoe’s Race. Choose between a 5K walk/run and a 10K run—both begin at
Oakledge Park and offer an out-and-back course along the picturesque Burlington
bike path. Children of all ages can share in the race day excitement by
participating in the FREE Kid’s 1K fun run (t-shirt included). Great food and music!
Fundraising for this event helps local families make their homes accessible and
supports other Howard Center programming. Come out and help Zoe’s Race

Every August the Northeast Delta Dental Race To The Top Of Vermont draws as many as 800 hikers, bikers, and runners from across the U.S. and Canada to climb Mt. Mansfield, Vermont’s highest peak. The course climbs up the historic Mansfield Toll Road, is 4.3 miles in length, and climbs 2564 ft. For some it’s all about trying to achieve a fast time up this tough 4.3 mile course. For others… they come to test themselves, and to enjoy the spectacular views.

Before the 25th Annual Brewers Festival at Mount Snow HOPS FOR HOPE 5K features a mountainous Run/Walk. Teams & individuals can register at main.acsevents.org/hopsforhope5k.

Proceeds support the American Cancer Society! The Top Fundraiser will receive: a trophy, a 2019/2020 Season Pass to Mount Snow valued at over $1,000 PLUS prizes from our partners/sponsors and join millions of supporters helping us attack cancer from every angle! Rugged, remote, beautiful – these are the trails in Groton State Forest. Join us for the second year of this trail event, aimed at bringing you back to the forest and providing you with an unrivaled running experience. Runners can choose from either a 26.5 mile course or a 15.2 mile course that are both technical, challenging and gorgeous.
