Aug. 30- Sept. 2 | Green Mountain Stage Race, Waitsfield

The largest pro-amateur road stage race east of the Mississippi returns with time trials, criterium races and a gran fondo, plus a super fun kids’ crit on Sept. 2.

Aug. 31 | American Cancer Society Hops for Hope 5K, Mount Snow

Headed to the Mount Snow Brewers Festival weekend? Start yours off right by burning a few calories in support of a great cause. For the 6th year in a row, Mount Snow and the American Cancer Society host this 5K fun run, with all proceeds going toward the American Cancer Society. Top fundraiser wins a 2019/2020 Mount Snow Season’s Pass.

2 | 5th Annual Richard Tom Foundation Kids’ Crit, Burlington

A free, non-competitive cycling event for kids 7-11. Kids ride 2-4 sections of the Green Mountain Stage Race, led by adult riders. You may even find Burlington Police Chief Brandon del Pozo leading a section!

Sept. 1-2 | 7th Annual Jay Peak Trail Run Festival, Jay

Jay Peak Resort hosts eight trail running races over two days, from a kids’ trail run to a 53.1K ultramarathon. Choose between a series of 5Ks, from a super steep black diamond to a mellow kids run, or do all three as a 15K. On Sunday, test your legs on the 11-miler, 22-miler and ultra.

Sept. 1 | Heels to Paws Doggie and Me 5K, Stratton

A 5K fun run to benefit the Second Chance Animal Center and Windham County Humane Society on the ski area grounds. Walk, run or jog but be sure to keep your furry friend on a leash.

Sept. 2 | Mini Sky Race and Trail Relay, South Duxbury

Run 1.7, 2.3 or 4 miles in this sky race-style running race with a relay option at Harwood Union High School.
