Stowe Bike Club Time Trials Begin May 4

The annual Stowe Bike Club Time Trial series begins its 2011 season at 6:30 on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Middlesex. The series is sponsored by Onion River Sports. Time trials are held each Wednesday at varying locations around Central Vermont from May through August. After May 1 the full summer’s schedule will be posted under Stowe Bike Club at www.stowetimes.org.

Join the Club for its first time trial on May 4. Park at the Middlesex Park n Ride and cycle down Route 100B towards Moretown one mile to the start. The distance for this time trial is approximately eight miles and will be timed and posted. Riders are required to wear helmets and sign waivers. Riders may participate in two time trials before asked to become members of the Stowe Bike Club. Membership entitles you to participation in events, monthly Club picnics and discounts, performance awards and dinner, and lots of conviviality. The May 11 ride will also be at Middlesex. On May 18 the Club will participate in the National Ride of Silence beginning at 6pm at the Vermont Statehouse in Montpelier. The May 25 time trial will be held on Randolph Road in Stowe.
