Vermont City Marathon
This is an extremely well run event with some great views along Lake Champlain of the Adirondacks. Always a good turnout. If you're staying near Burlington, don't miss dinner at the Single Pebble. Best authentic Chinese food in Vermont. Also, if you're traveling with kids, be sure to check out Shelburne Farms.
