Welcome to the most recent update of the vtsports.com website!
We are introducing a new platform for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy getting outside, who like to participate in events for competition or cause, and who are interested in joining an online community and networking with like-minded individuals.
During the next month the site will operate seamlessly. We will continue to provide a host of events for visitors to browse and ponder. Also, the site will continue to offer content and features from the archives of Vermont Sports Magazine. However, visitors to the site will notice a few tweaks here and there in the coming months.
We will be introducing two significant updates to the site; the roll-out of our community section of the site and the launch of our online gear exchange for gently used sports equipment.
The community section is a place for enthusiasts to create their own personal profile, add photos of their Vermont sports experiences, have their own blog, and share stories about Vermont, their travel experiences, training tips, and workouts with fellow community members. Members can also comment on events they have attended, and give recommendations to other vtsports.com community members about things they have done, places they have visited, and what they enjoy about outdoor fitness and recreation in Vermont.
Our online gear exchange will provide an outlet for our vtsports.com members to sell their gently used sports equipment online. It provides an easy interface for users to upload, a) information about the gear they have for sale, b) a photo of the item, and c) contact information for buyers. This service will be free to all vtsports.com community members for the foreseeable future,
