St. J Striders Group Runs

Looking for something to make the long, cold winter a bit more bearable? We are starting an informal running group on Sunday afternoons to try to make training during the winter months a little more fun and a lot less lonely!

Sunday, November 27th, after Thanksgiving, will be our first meeting.

We welcome all runners of all levels! (Although parents should accompany children as we will be running roads). We will break into distance and pace groups (2, 4, 6, 10+ miles, etc.) before we set off. It is our hope to eventually become a formalized member of the Road Runners Club of America and create a year-round calendar of local running events. We’re looking for social, fun, and community minded runners to help us get established.

Meeting Times: Every Sunday, 2 p.m. Meeting Place: St. Johnsbury Academy Field House
Parking: Field House Parking Lot
(The gym will be open until 4 p.m. to use bathrooms and change clothes or shower after running.)

There is no fee for this program. However, we ask that all participants print off and sign a registration form from our website. This gives us emergency contact info and allergy/ medical issue/ medication info, etc in case of an emergency.
