Spartan Race to Defeat ALS Info Session
Feb 25, 2012 | 7:00 pmOn Tap
4 Park St., Essex
Curious about running the Spartan Race for a worthy cause? Who isn’t?!? Come to On Tap Bar in Essex on Saturday, February 25 for an informational presentation. Starting at 7 pm, speakers will talk about their experiences running the race last year, and of course we will talk about the extremely deserving non-profit that we are raising money for: The ALS Association!
ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that has no cure. About 5,600 people are diagnosed with it each year – that’s a lot of people who are counting on groups like ours to fund research to find a cure! When you run the Spartan Race with us this September, you not only get the sweet bragging rights to having completed one of the toughest obstacle courses ever created, you will also know that you are a part of something far more important: a real move towards finding a cure for ALS.
Even if you don’t want to run with us, come find out about volunteer opportunities on race day, or just come buy a bunch of drinks at the bar. After your need for info is satisfied, our official team band, Sideshow Bob, will entertain us at 9pm with killer 80′s tunes so we can dance the night away in true Spartan style! Drinks, music, motivation? JOIN US!
