19th Annual People’s Trust Company Run/Walk for Jim 5K
May 6 @ 9:30 am – 12:00 pm

The 5K race is run on a paved loop in picturesque St. Albans. The first mile is fast with a gentle downhill. The second mile features a gradual uphill and the course finishes flat and fast. Apple pies for top finishers and age group winners are always a crowd favorite! Walkers start at the same time and follow the same route. The Walk is not a timed event: however, Mimmos pizzas are raffled for the walkers. This event is a fundraiser. See webpage for more information, and register here:

19th Annual People’s Trust Run for Jim Kids races
May 6 @ 8:30 pm – May 7 @ 12:00 pm

Kids’ race affiliated with 19th Annual People’s Trust Run for Jim 5K. Event held on the track at 8:30 (one hour before the 5k race) outside the Collins Perley Complex. All finishers get a medal. There is face painting and cookies for the kids. Register at:

2-4 year olds (Biddy Bashers 100 Meter Dash)
5&6 year olds – 1/8 mile
7&8 year olds – 1/4 mile
9&10 year olds – 1/2 miles
11&12 year olds – 1 mile

Dandelion Run
May 19 @ 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

Half Marathon on dirt roads through the world famous Dandelion Fields of Derby, Morgan, and Holland Vermont, with 1, 2, 4-mile and 10 km options, with musicians sprinkled throughout the course and back at the Beach House Picnic and After Party. 20% of all registration fees to Umbrella in support of victims of crime. It’s May! It’s Time to Run! Just for the Fun of It! – Selected as one of the five most scenic running races in Vermont by readers of Vermont Sports.

Harry Corrow Freedom Run
Jul 4 @ 8:00 am – 10:00 pm

10 Mile Classic on the Newport-Derby Bike Path and Memphremagog Ski Touring Foundation Trails, with 10 k, 5 k, and 1 mile options. We celebrate freedom from British Tyranny, freedom from asphault, and freedom to choose your distance, even mid run. Bed races, music, and fireworks to follow.
