Zack’s Place 2nd Annual 5k Turkey Trot road race is being held on Thanksgiving Day
• When: Thursday, November 27, 2008, THANKSGIVING DAY
• Time: Registration is at 8:00 am; Walkers start at 9:40AM and the Race at 10:00am at Woodstock Elementary School
Team In Training will be recruiting runners, walkers, hikers, cyclists & triathletes for the Summer 2009 Season. Events will include: KeyBank Vermont City Marathon, Memphis In May Triathlon, America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride (Lake Tahoe), Rock n Roll Marathon (San Diego), Half Marathon at Lake Placid and Hike The Grand Canyon.
Exploring pain has been on my agenda for several years. Pain can be a good thing, especially if it is heeded. Too often, we have learned to block pain out, and this is when problems can start to happen. My email in-box is always filled with notes and letters from readers and patients, and I do my best to respond to them all in some way.
11am at The Center. Enjoy a 5 mile run or a 2 mile walk along the cart paths of the Eastman Golf Links. Net proceeds of this annual event will benefit needy families in the surrounding communities. Registration will begin at 9:30 at The Center, race will begin at 11 am. Fees for the event are $12 for pre-registered participants and $14 on race day.
I suppose it’s sacrilegious for an intrepid hiker to go to Peru for the first time and not trek the Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu, but it was a conscious decision which I don’t regret. Hike the famous Inca Trail to a famous world heritage site with hundreds of people?
Harpoon Octoberfest Fun Run to benefit The Friends of Norris Cotton Cancer Center - Sunday, October 12, 2008 Join us in an Octoberfest celebration by participating in a 3.6 mile fun race Run through Windsor, Vermont, while raising money for cancer research and patient services at Norris Cotton Cancer Center.
Fun begins at 3:00 pm at Colburn Park on the Lebanon, NH Green for this relaxed walk or bike ride down the scenic Rail Trail. The course begins at the CCBA trail head in Lebanon, crosses eight trestle bridges, and passes beautiful Lake Mascoma on its way to downtown Enfield before returning the same way. Enjoying a shorter round trip is just as fun and welcome.
Smith College Athletics will host the Fall Fit 5K & 1.5 Mile Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, September 21 at 1 p.m benefiting the Northampton Education Foundation and Smith Athletics.
