An invitation from the Vermont Backcountry Alliance
Hello VT Backcountry Alliance (VTBC) Partners –
Happy fall!
We’d like to invite you to participate in and help us spread the word about the upcoming 2nd Annual VT Backcountry Forum (& Celebration) on Thursday, Nov. 6th in Rochester, VT. The event is being co-hosted by the VTBC and our parent organization, the Catamount Trail Assoc. (CTA), as well as the Rochester Area Sports Trails Alliance (RASTA). Proceeds from the evening will benefit VTBC and RASTA.

Our goals with the forum are to provide some solid updates regarding the projects and programs that VTBC, CTA and RASTA are driving, as well as to have the audience/community engage in a solid brainstorm of “Vermont’s Backcountry Future”. Please let us know if you have any questions about the event at any time, too.
How you can help…
We’re planning a large raffle of outdoor gear, for which we’ll be selling raffle tickets at the door and during the evening ($5pp, 5 for $20, 12 for $40), before drawing prizes at 9pm. We’re seeking any great raffle items that others are willing to contribute. Please email back if you’ve got something to pitch in or can suggest someone we should reach out to.
And we’re still seeking leads or help with the following:
– Some live music that can really get a good crowd dancing for at least a solid hour
– Donations of 1-2 kegs of beer
Last, there’s a potluck element to the evening, so please bring a yummy dish to share if you are planning to attend the event.
