900 Swimmers Participate in the Vermont State Swim Championships

From our friends at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center:

August 3rd and 4th The Upper Valley Aquatic Center hosted the Vermont Swim League State Championship for the 4th summer in a row.  Usually this meet draws 700 swimmers and families to the Upper Valley.  This year the meet drew in 900 swimmers.

 

From Team UVAC Salli Lubbe took first place in all of her events and broke a meet record for the girls 9-10 25 yard Butterfly.  The old record was 14:38.  Salli stormed the finish in 13:44 seconds!

 

Charlotte Pitts, a senior at KUA, also took first place in the 50 Free, 100 Fly, 50 Fly and 100 Freestyle events.

 

Swimmers Louisa Oney, Elyse Scott, Abby Leblanc and Miriam Caveny represented Team UVAC and took first place in the girls 13-14 Medley Relay as well as the girls 13-14 Freestyle Relay.
